Air travellers should take the U2 to the main train station (“Hauptbahnhof”) and change there on to the U1 for the exhibition centre. Your admission ticket is also valid on the printed expo days as a travel pass on all public transport in the Transport for Greater Nuremberg (VGN) network (regional passenger rail services: 2nd class, trains without supplement) in the 100/200 tariff zones (Nuremberg, Fürth, Stein).
As a central transport hub in southern Germany, Nuremberg is easily accessible by rail via many regional and national rail links. This includes fast and direct ICE connections from Cologne, Frankfurt, Munich, Leipzig, Berlin, Hamburg and elsewhere.
The fair grounds can be easily reached from the main train station via the metro (U1 line, direction “Messe”).
